INTRO-STATIST I - 10190 - MATH 130L - 120

This section of Introduction of Statistics will make use of the statistical softward platform R, an open source and free resource available on the web. This section will cover all traditional material for Math130, but will use R for the creation of graphics, running simulations and regression, and calculation of inferential statistics. This brief introduction to R will be of advantage to students who go on to teach mathematics, take Math 330 or interested in object oriented programming languages. R is the fastest growing (in terms of number of users) statistics platform, and has advanced and flexible capabilities that make it the first choice among many if not most statisticians at any level.
